OCALI Conference
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

The NR Wife is attending the 2007 NATTAP Conference (link dead) in Columbus, OH. Last night she was choosing from the list of events to go to, trying to decide between “Welcome to the Club!”, a light-hearted welcome to a club nobody chooses to sign up for, or “Increasing Positive Interaction Between Typically Developing Preschoolers [...]

Airbus: Pot, Kettle, Black
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

BBC reports that at the start of a World Trade Organization hearing, the European Union has complained that the U.S. government has subsidized Boeing, against WTO free trade rules. EU claims the subsidies have cost Airbus $27 billion in losses.
This is utterly rich. The U.S. already has a complaint in to the WTO that Airbus [...]

Government Take Down

You may have heard about the judge who sued a dry-cleaning shop for $67 million over a lost pair of pants. Thank you for your efforts, d.w.c. It was great.

Got to watch the kids play soccer today. They may not be able to contest the ball yet, but both of them have a nice throw-in range for their age.
I did an ABA session with the younger daughter and saw two new cool things. If I told her to throw a ball, she’d [...]

Leslie Refuses to Bow
Thursday, September 20th, 2007

We caught the first part of Survivor: China tonight and recorded the rest. In the opening ceremony held in a Buddhist temple, the host, Jeff Probst, was careful to say that the ceremony was not a worship service. Even so, Leslie, the Christian radio talk show host, refused to participate in the portion that required [...]
