Divine Service with Our Savior, Newark

This week we made it to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newark, a 25 minute drive but one that may well be worth it.

We were a little late, coming in on the entrance hymn, but immediately a smiling elder gave us bulletins and hymnals opened up to LW Divine Service II, First Setting with Holy Communion. The sanctuary was quite full, and we sat on the back row. The younger twin gave them a dose of happy chatter during the sermon. I walked her out, but the elder said we weren’t bothering anyone.
