A Top Ten Finish, Redux

This evening, during the Chiefs’ first win of the season, three of us took 6th, 7th, and 8th nationally on NTN trivia. I was 7th, but the 10th place finish that I did solo means more to me. As a result, the Sports Page was 5th overall. Not a bad job!

A Top Ten Finish

Played trivia at the Sports Page in Longview, where I placed 10th in the nation during the 8:30 game of Countdown Trivia. This beats my original best of 15th nationally on a trivia game. Unfortunately, I was the only one at the Sports Page playing tonight, so our location average wasn’t that good.

Book Report: Memorial Day by Vince Flynn

I used the weekend to finish up Memorial Day by Vince Flynn. Definitely a well written book, I would recommend it for anyone even remotely interested about fiction concerning the War on Terror.

Christ supports government health care?

Found this letter in the opinion section of the Newark(Ohio) Advocate, where the writer advocates voting for Kerry/Edwards because Christ compels us to have government health care, and because Kerry and Edwards are “servants to God’s will”.

Now that I’m out of Hattiesburg, I can disclose that I was staying at the Comfort Inn there, the hotel that promised high-speed but didn’t deliver.
