It was too good to be true — a direct flight from Corpus Christi to Columbus. It did seem long, about four hours. The flight went through Houston, something the documentation failed to mention. Southwest hides pass-throughs on its docs all the time, but I didn’t know that Continental did.
The strangest part: I changed planes but maintained the same flight number. We started from Corpus Christi late because of a problem with one of the pilot’s computer screens. We got to Houston, and I had to get off the plane and get on another plane two gates over. That plane had already boarded and was waiting for me and two others.
I don’t have good luck with close connections, so I wasn’t surprised when my luggage didn’t arrive with me. It is scheduled to arrive 3 hours from now and will be delivered to the house.
Update, 10:00pm: Luggage has arrived, just in time to go back out tomorrow.
