I made another stop in Conroe to attend worship at Pastor Borghardt’s church. I asked about singing in the choir, and they let me in.

The choir had three other men (1T/2B) and six women (2S/2A/2T). Our piece was “Call to Advent,” a two-voice point-counterpoint of two advent carols. I recorded it, but with the guys all in unison my relatively unaccented voice was lost in the more distinctive and nasal bass. I’m not going to get publishing permission from Hope again if you can’t hear me in the recording. :)

Pastor Quail had another good sermon, which I didn’t record because I would be up until 2am Blog Eastern Time transcribing it. :)

Pastor Borghardt and I didn’t have dinner this time but long chats primarily about the blogosphere, comparing notes on the real identity of some pseudonymous bloggers, blog wars and comment wars. I should add comment feeds to my Bloglines. I may consider a post on what is really pietism and when is “pietist” an appropriate invective. :D
