The doctor is in, the topic is delusion.
The pseudonymous blogger at “House, M. Div” has a most excellent rebuke to the pregnancy to the vice president’s daughter.
If this doesn’t yank the scales off one’s eyes that one can count on the Republican party to uphold traditional family values, then only Ananias can help him or her.

I’m not understanding. What does it have to do with Republicans?

Janice Shaw Crouse at Townhall has one part of that answer: “Mary’s pregnancy is an ‘in-your-face’ action countering the Bush Administration’s pro-family, pro-marriage and pro-life policies. She continues to repudiate the work to which her father has devoted his life.”
The Republican Party has depended on social conservatives who have standards for personal behavior. From the 2004 platform (PDF) of the Republican party:
Mary Cheney has been in the employ of the Republican Party and has worked to get Republicans in office. Social progressives will take this event and say attempts to keep marriage 1M/1W and to limit adoption to 1M/1W families are unreasonable, because Republicans can’t do what they espouse.

Ok. I’m with ya now. I thought the “House” blog had some reference in it.
Just another example that the R’s have abandoned their base.

Indeed, I’m aware of the Constitution party. They need more candidates for local office.
I also got the impression that some of them have the “America is the new Israel” disease.
I used HTML just fine in my previous comment with the block quote. Strange.
