There is a lot of good Thanksgiving reading out there, from Touchstone’s Pilgrims and Patriots to Borghardt’s Thankful? You betcha!. It looks like all that’s needed to be said has been said.

It seems to me that this is the way it always is for holidays. All the stuff that’s needed to be done has been done. Not the Thanksgiving turkey, or the Easter egg hunt, or the decorating of the Christmas tree. Whatever we do today pales in comparison to these things for which we set aside a day (or two, in my company calendar). Thank God for that.

Happy Thanksgiving. Take it easy, and root for the Chiefs! :)

Update, 11:18pm: What a game. Champ Bailey stopped Larry Johnson from a 3-touchdown night, but the Chiefs came out on top. Betting against the Chiefs at Arrowhead is a gamble that rarely pays off. I liked watching it on NFL Network, but it’s a shame NFL Network is so exclusive. Gumble and Collinsworth did a good job calling the game.
