The Ohio State Buckeyes, ranked No. 1, beat No. 2 ranked Texas 24-7.
Texas was a tough team with very fast running backs, but honestly, this should have been a shut-out. The Longhorns scored their only touchdown after they were inside the 20 and Ohio State received a questionable late-hit penalty. The extra downs gave UT the two more opportunities needed to get in the end zone.
All right: suppose Texas would have kicked a field goal on fourth down, making it 24-3. Whatever.
The OSU defense, a little nervous after giving up a lot of yardage to Northern Illinois last week, did an admirable job, recovering a fumble and intercepting quarterback Colt McCoy. Anthony Gonzalez benefited from Texas paying attention to Ted Ginn, Jr.
Last year Continental arranged for a 757 to bring Texas fans back home from Columbus. By the looks of things, they probably arranged to have two to bring the Buckeye fans back to Columbus. Keep those 757 tires in stock, CMH.

Well, at least OSU won, then. Sigh, my poor Brownies.
