I got to Hobby Airport in plenty of time to take the Southwest Airlines flight home.

The plane was 50 minutes late getting in from New Orleans, and they didn’t give me a reason when I asked why. I got into Chicago-Midway 15 minutes after the second leg of my trip took off. I went to the counter to exchange my boarding pass for the next available flight, and they put me on standby, leaving open the possibility that I could be delayed onto the night flight.

Meanwhile at Midway, people boarded a plane to St. Louis only to have it taken down for maintenance issues. They deboarded that plane and used the plane we were going to use, delaying the flight I would take by another hour.

Finally when time came I made it onto the flight. I arrived in CMH five hours later than I was supposed to. My bags arrived safely. :)
