Senate Authorizes Fence, then Defunds It

The Washington Times reports that the Senate defeated an amendment 71-29 that would have provided the money for a fence on the border they approved 83-16.
Senate Roll Call 200 shows Sen. DeWine approving the fence and Sen. Voinovich voting against it.
Senate Roll Call 126 shows both DeWine and Voinovich voting for the fence.
Senator Voinovich voted for the fence before voting against it. Thanks.
It might bring back a little honesty into the legislature if a project is funded in the same bill where it’s approved.
