So much for enforcing the rule of law. What good is the paper we write legislation on if it isn’t going to be followed?
The U.S. Senate rejected 55-40 an amendment to the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006″ that would have prohibited guest worker programs until already existing legislation that improves border security was enforced.
Conspicuous among the NAYs:
DeWine (R-OH)
Voinovich (R-OH)
Just a reminder: 71.8% of Ohio Republicans voted for DeWine in the May 2 primary.
