<description>Thankfully it seems that the "strike" didn't paralyze the country, even in south Florida, according to the &lt;a href=http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&#038;ct=us/1-0&#038;fp=445766b52c49377d&#038;ei=gblXRMKbKa7cadi0nO0E&#038;url=http%3A//www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/14476810.htm&#038;cid=1106207692 rel="nofollow"&gt;Miami Herald&lt;/a&gt;.

I find it telling that of all the Europeans, Africans, South Americans, your Asian neighbors, etc., that come here, none of them require a translation that one can sing in their own language. The "Nuestro Himno" is a refusal to assimilate and an intention to balkanize our country. I laud your neighbors who choose to assimilate into our distinct American culture.

It takes years to become a legal immigrant to the United States. Even legally immigrating Canadians have to get vaccinations, prove they aren't felons, and surrender their rights to Medicare and other entitlements. These 11 million people have stepped in line in front of the people who respect our soverignty enough to do things our way. Legal immigration seems to be insanely difficult. I think we need to make that easier and make illegal immigration much, much harder.

<description>There are a lot of people that are shuttering their businesses because they agree with the cause, the same goes for those participating in the marches and boycotts. So, it really isn't a good way of identifying employers who hire illegals.

Also, I don't really have a problem with the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish. It's still our anthem. At least they want to hear our anthem in a language they can understand. There's a large hispanic community in the city I grew up in. Many kids had parents who spoke little or no English. But nearly every kid, spoke English well and without an accent. This is just the way it works in America, people may not learn English, but their kids do and then they move out to our suburbs and fit right in. My neighborhood is something like 50% asian, but nearly everyone can speak English except the elderly.

I'm gonna be sympathetic to this cause...people of Hispanic descent will be the majority in my state in coming decades.</description>
