The first real indication that my kids were getting older was when we stopped buying them fru-fru dresses and started buying them athleticwear. Now I’ve got my second one.
Today my wife’s aunt and I took down the two cribs in the kids’ room, replacing them with a queen-size bed, peach sheets, and pillows and comforter sporting ladybugs and flowers.
The cribs made it into our basement without incident, and we reassembled one of them for display. They are still in almost new condition and worked well, except in the dark when I would be putting a kid in the bed and the wooden ornamental flaring found one of my floating ribs.

Wait till they start needing new shoes, or designer outfits, make-up…..the time is coming fast. And you are lucky enough to get to do it two at once and you know they will not like the same things. Ahh the joys of daughters…at least mine are 5 years apart. =)
