Another three-week tour of duty begins Saturday, after I get a couple of games in on the final week of basketball. That seemed to go fast.
I’ve booked two weeks in Fort Smith, AR. I don’t have too many memories of the city as I was always waking up to go on fracturing jobs at 4am and driving home to Duncan, OK, afterwards. There’s no hockey, or major sports for that matter, in Fort Smith. 
After Fort Smith is done with me I’ll likely move over to Duncan. It’s the closest camp to Fort Smith; a four-hour drive I made plenty of times in 1998. I’ll have to stop by Pete’s Place in Krebs on the way. The chocTM beer goes well with their ravioli.
Update: Feb. 25th, 11:30pm: Touchdown in OKC, with luggage. Early drive over to Ft. Smith tomorrow, where I can catch a 10:30am if nothing’s critical.
