My luggage has been delayed before, but never more than a day. A projector had disappeared from my luggage once. Perhaps with as much exposure as I’ve had to the luggage systems of various airlines, I was bound to lose an entire bag. I don’t know that the luggage is completely lost yet, but I’ve had to run out and get two days’ worth of clothes and new shoes before 6pm in Oklahoma City, when most stores close on Sunday. Should the bag arrive before I wear them, I’ll take what I haven’t worn back.
I should have known. Memphis is an evil airport. 
Update, 8:08pm: Northwest Airlines’ delayed luggage policy is here. I have to let the automatic system work for five days, during which I get a small amount for my inconvenience, then I have to wait up to 30 days before Northwest Airlines will deign to discuss replacement.
