Judge Strikes Down Campaign Finance Rules
An FEC commission member said Monday he wants the government to try to block the ruling from taking effect. “If the ruling is not stayed, many key parts of the federal election laws will be in chaos,” said Commissioner Michael Toner, a Republican.
Oh, that’s ok, we can trust the courts to protect our rights to free speech in a timely and prudent manner. Oh, and before the elections take place. You know what this is going to be like? This is going to be like the NFL deciding after Week 1 that they are going to change the pass interference rules, playing out Week 2 with players having no idea how to play their game, then throwing a ton of pass-interference penalties after the completion the Kansas City-Carolina game, and wham! Kansas City wins!
