It seems we are back in business. Power was actually restored around 11:30pm on the 26th. I started to move our stuff back from the in-laws on the 27th, when the power went out about 2pm again and was gone the rest of the afternoon. Just as we packed up our things and left for the in-laws again, the lights came on in the neighborhood, just after six. Not trusting the power, we stayed at the in-laws one more night. My hunch was right; the power did flicker off again, but the good news is, gleaning info from the blinking alarm clock, it wasn’t out more than 2 hours last night. Good enough to stay home and ride it out tonight. This means Santa visits the twins on Thursday, with grandparents from Missouri to watch. New Year’s is still on! :)
