My brother-in-law and his wife went on a company-sponsored cruise to the Caribbean and brought back with them among other things a tall bottle of Kahlúa Especial. Duty-free stores are a good thing.
I’ve not had Kahlúa before; the closest I get would be the occasional Bailey’s on the rocks in Continental First Class. I’m a Starbuck’s Mocha Frappucino fan, so it seems I would enjoy the coffee liqueur, but I’d like to share it with everyone at our New Year’s gathering. I love TGI Friday’s mudslides more than Frappucinos, to my detriment. Kahlua.com suggests a mudslide with 1 part Kahlúa, 1 part vodka, and ½ part “Irish cream liqueur” (Bailey’s). Sounds good; I like to blend mudslides with ice and make smoothies, then serve them in refrigerated margarita glasses or red wine glasses, with drawn lines of Hershey’s chocolate syrup on the inside. Yum.
Additional ideas would be greatly appreciated.
