Since I’ll be away from home on Valentine’s Day, we traded gifts this evening. I got her a nice diamond-and-ruby ring, and she got me an early birthday gift: the Wireless LAN Portfolio that gives 802.11b capabilities to my Tungsten E. Sweet. It comes with a free Eudora Email and Web Suite. This is very cool because I dislike wasting minutes booting my laptop up to see if there’s a wireless signal at airports. There seem to be plenty of SSH and telnet clients for Palm OS, but I doubt I would be gaming with my T|E, even with the nice keyboard I have for it now. So, a tech report is in the works.
I am halfway through William F. Buckley’s Miles Gone By: A Literary Autobiography (with CD). It is a slow read, and some times I wish I had a dictionary with me. Aha; another use for the T|E: dictionary.com! This also means another book report is on the horizon.
I would have also done a hotel report today, but I return to the same Sunday night for another two weeks. There were some good things about the service and bad things about the room, so I am hoping I get a better room this next time.
