Multiple Wrongs Make for Wasteful Rape Trial

The AP reports that Maryland’s highest court ruled that if a woman decides during sex that she doesn’t want to have sex, and the male continues, it’s rape even if she said yes in the first place.
That actually makes a little sense to me. But read the article for how that decision needed to be codified into law:
- Woman has sex with one man (and the article doesn’t mention anything about being married)
- Previously convicted rapist asks woman if he could also “hit that”
- Woman says yes to previously convicted rapist
- Woman changes her mind in the middle, and he continues for five to 10 more seconds.
If I’m a citizen of Maryland, I’m feeling defrauded of my tax money. This was not some case of some girl wearing a skirt too high and a man claiming that was an invitation.
