ABC News reports, in a victory for proprietor’s rights, a Commission on Human Relations in Philadelphia ruled that a cheesesteak restaurant could hang a “Speak English” sign without being penalized for discrimination.

In a dissenting opinion, Commissioner Joseph J. Centeno said he thought the signs did discourage some customers.

“The sign appeared immediately above another sign that had the following words: ‘Management Reserves the Right to Refuse Service,’” Centeno wrote.

Indeed, how horrible it is for management to make money how he sees fits on his property. Instead, the dissenting commissioner would have shop owner Joe Vento print signs in every possible language, take foreign language lessons, and raise his food prices to cover the costs.
