In August Nuradin Abdi pled guilty to one charge of providing material support to Al Qaeda and was indicted on three other charges. FOXNews now reports that he was sentenced to 10 years.

Abdi pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to provide material support for terrorists. Three charges were dropped as part of his plea deal; Abdi could have received 80 years in prison had he been convicted of all the counts he had faced.

I wonder how hard it would have been to prosecute those other counts. If he did what they say he did, he shouldn’t have gotten off with 12.5% of his possible sentence — and that’s before “good behavior.” If you recall, Abdi would not turn state’s evidence and inform on other Muslims.
