AP reports (link dead):
WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that a mandate requiring every American to purchase health insurance was the only way to achieve universal health care but she rejected the notion of punitive measures to force individuals into the health care system.“At this point, we don’t have anything punitive that we have proposed,” the presidential candidate said in an interview with The Associated Press. “We’re providing incentives and tax credits which we think will be very attractive to the vast majority of Americans.”
She said she could envision a day when “you have to show proof to your employer that you’re insured as a part of the job interview — like when your kid goes to school and has to show proof of vaccination,” but said such details would be worked out through negotiations with Congress.
Details? We have a hard enough time proving illegal aliens are using fake social security numbers, and now we’d like to have everyone prove they have health insurance when they show up for work?
Details, indeed. Let Congress work it out. Right.
If there is a mandate, there will be force, or else it will be a joke.

If the person in already unemployed, and the insurance has a fee, how are they supposed to pay for it!!
Food, clothing, shelter come first, health insurance, probably not high on the list. Mrs. Clinton obviously has NEVER been in a position where she had to choose between something to eat today and “paying for her health insurance”
The killer is, this person would loose a chance at getting a job because of it ???????? Mrs. Clinton just has no clue.
