Sunday will be interesting. I will be in Fort Collins once more for both services. The order of service will be LSB’s Service of Prayer and Preaching.

You may recall that I soloed the OT Canticle from SP&P in March. Sunday I will be doing OT and NT Canticles for both services, with anyone in the choir who wants to join me. It may be just me and the choir director in the second service. I’ll try to get a recording and post it if it sounds good.

I was also asked to solo a verse from LSB 709, “The King of Love My Shepherd Is,” based on Psalm 23. I chose to do verse 4:

In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With Thee, dear Lord, beside me,
Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
Thy cross before to guide me.

If my audience had more familiarity with me, I would have probably gone with verse 3, the one that starts, “Perverse and foolish oft I strayed…” :)

I attended choir rehearsal in Fort Collins this evening where I got the latest details of what will be happening. Pastor Lehmann will preach, so I won’t have to transcribe a good sermon, but link to it instead. :)
