The plan was to save $550, fly in to Denver, and drive to Casper today.
At the time of this post my luggage is missing and will hopefully show up in an hour. I’m staying in the airport until it shows up. I imagine that it got lost in the unanticipated transfer of planes in Chicago-Midway.
Update: Southwest had the luggage on the next plane. Successful recovery.
On the flight from CMH to MDW I happened to sit next to another father of a child with autism. We shared a lot of the same issues with supplements, costs, ABA, etc. His seven-year-old boy had been through about 4 months of ABA therapy, and the improvement has been phenomenal. He faces additional challenges as a job transfer requires that his family move to Chicago from Cincinnati. Changing locations is a tremendous hassle because any assistance that one receives from a state has to be redone for the new state. They are having another child, even though the statistics are higher that a subsequent child may have autism. I wish them the best.
