I don’t live in Columbus proper, but this is close enough. 10tv.com reports that a Somali pled guilty to conspiring to provide material support to terrorists in a plot to blow up a Central Ohio shopping mall. He was indicted on three other charges.
Check out the disdain for not only the people in the mall whom he would have injured, but for the law itself:
Abdi’s attorney spoke with reporters following his client’s hearing.“It’s better to minimize your losses,” said Mahir Sharif. “He has a life ahead of him. Let’s face it, with all due respect to America and Americans, the jury he was going to face are not his peers.”
When asked if his client would testify in any other cases, Sharif said he would not.
“He said, ‘I am a Muslim I’m not going to go in front of the government and testify against any other Muslims,” Sharif said.
I would hope that we would not be able to find a jury of his kind of peer. Our Sixth Amendment does not prescribe a jury of religious bigots to serve in judgment of terrorists.

I spit in his general direction. Let him go back to the hellhole he came from.

“…, with all due respect to America and Americans, the jury he was going to face are not his peers.”
This is the money quote.
They. Do. Not. View. Us. As. Equals.
They would rather die striving to destroy our culture, than face assimilation into our way of life and our belief systems.
And this is why we must fight them. Are we getting the message yet?
