Necessary Roughness

I had the opportunity to worship at Peace With Christ this morning. The service was LSB Divine Service I with a substituted offertory. Because the three-year lectionary (PDF) uses Luke 1:1-13 for the Gospel reading, we got to sing all nine verses of LSB 766, “Our Father Who from Heaven Above.” There was an interesting presentation on missionary activity abroad.

True to my promise I did take the pastor to lunch, at the restaurant with the Freckled Lemonades, the Five-Alarm burgers, and the tower of onion rings.
