I’ve mixed feelings about the news today. 2004 and 2005’s fantasy football stud Priest Holmes is considereing a return to Kansas City after sitting out 2006 recovering from hip surgery. Since Holmes left, Larry Johnson has become the starter and did well for KC last year.
I’m all for the return of the Priest, just to keep Larry Johnson honest and in camp instead of worrying about contracts.
On the other hand, the O-Line is weaker, Priest is older, and he’s lost some conditioning while recovering. I don’t think he can perform to 2004 or even 2005 specs, and nobody would have faulted him for retiring after that hip injury.
Good luck to you, Priest. Stay healthy, and give it to them for us old guys. ![]()
