I’m currently waiting out a change in planes in Denver. I noticed several things about the first leg of my flight:

Pretzels and drinks are free. If you want a shrink-wrapped snack box with canned meat, cheese, and miniature Toblerone, $5. I passed. The first time I flew to Denver on United, perhaps 5 years ago, Coach class got hot meals with real silverware. :)

I tried to use my headphones in the armchair radio. While Channel 9 still broadcasts the cockpit chatter, it was set way too loud. I couldn’t turn it down enough. Maybe the volume button was broken, or maybe they really wanted to sell their own headphones.

Economy Plus charged about $40 for another 5 inches of leg room. It was worth it to me.
