Laptop and non-bloggable issues have wrecked my daily posting rhythm as of late.
Sometimes I come across topics that I just feel others would do a better job that I would. Such was the case with the topic of holy water for sale, adroitly handled by Frank at Putting Out the Fire. Thanks, Frank! Put that in the next Carnival, please.
President Bush is proposing the expansion of oil and gas leases in Alaska and Virginia. New Jersey’s two senators are upset. Apparently Not-In-My-Backyard philosophy has become Not-In-My-Neighbor’s-Backyard-Either.
The NAACP is actually holding a funeral for that N-word. Terrific, if we can also bury victimization and business intimidation. Not so terrific, if it means banning Huck Finn again.

‘adroitly’ is today’s word of the day. Thanks for the accolades and link. I’ve never thought of submitting any goofy stuff I write to the Carnival. In the past, I’ve tried to submit posts that I’ve used to teach my Calvinist family members. I’ll reconcider that line of thinking.

Is the NAACP burying the use of the n-word for white people only, or for all the rappers and such too?
