For a little something different I stopped by Dozo Seafood Sake Grill, a Japanese seafood restaurant. Japanese stuff is usually not my first choice, but I’ve never been taught the ways of the East, either.
The decor was simple and comfortable. It took a little long to get service, but once I had a waiter, he was friendly, informative, and attentive.
I did not have sushi, but I had some interesting dishes:
All in all, it was pretty cool. Next time I should take someone who knows what they’re doing. Chaplain Boarts, when’s your next trip to the States? ![]()

I just found this playing around on google. Right now I’m in Saporro, the birthplace of miso ramen, for the snow festival.
Look’s like you did pretty good! I thought I’d starve here at first, one I didn’t know how to use chopsticks, two I didn’t care for the food much. Both have changed entirely.
I’ve just been eating random stuff here, so far I found a great noodle shop and a great soup curry place (I’ve really grown to love Japanese curry!)
I’m glad to see Japanese restaurants are starting to get a foothold in the states. We’re going to have to find a Japanese grocery store where ever we go. My oldest loves dried squid, I don’t think most supermarkets in the states carry that like they do here!
