I understand the Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts getting five games on national TV, if you include the NFL network.

The schedule on USA Today reports that the Kansas City Chiefs get no national TV appearances until their meeting with the Jets Sunday night on December 30. That game isn’t guaranteed, as it is on Sunday night and the league decides what Sunday night game would get more ad revenue. The Chiefs don’t even get Thanksgiving Day, as the third game then is Indianapolis at Atlanta.

I suppose the AFC West rivalry between KC and Oakland has underperformed, but KC has to be considered at least interesting, with wins last year like 41-0 against San Francisco and losses like Pittsburgh 45-7. The Chiefs are like a box of chocolates. :)

Update, 7:19pm: Bob Gretz has more reaction.
