Seventeen Republicans voted for the do-nothing resolution which disapproves of the President’s troop surge in Iraq.

I suppose the debate was productive in that it wasted time so that further freedoms weren’t restricted. :)

Of course, if you’re going to disapprove of an action, you should really state what you are for. The resolution’s text gives no such clue.
