This evening we read the Follow and Do books for the Lord’s Supper and the Lord’s Prayer, after the big sister wanted me to read the Bible story about building the house upon the rock.
During the Lord’s Supper book, I showed the little sister the pages as I was reading them. I naturally paused after, “this cup is the new testament in my blood,” and she interrupted:
“Blood. Like Children’s Hospital!”
Twin Two gets regular blood draws at Children’s to make sure nothing we do is messing with her system. Nice connection.
“Yeah. Exactly right.” I continued, “Which is shed for us for the forgiveness of sins…”
